Welcome to Year 4! Mrs Webster, Mrs Kauser and Miss Crowther are very excited for the year ahead. We hope you have all had a lovely, relaxing break and that the children are ready for a year full of learning, hard work and lots of fun!
Mrs Webster will teach the class throughout the week, with Mrs Eddleston teaching the class on Thursdays. On Monday mornings, Mrs Sergent will teach the class while Mrs Webster has her PPA time.
Mrs Kauser is our class teaching assistant and Miss Crowther provides additional SEN support within the classroom.
Class Dojo
We will continue to use Class Dojo to celebrate positive behaviour and the children's achievements. We will also share photographs of some of the activities and learning taking place in Year 4, so please make sure you are linked to our class.
Class Dojo will also be used to keep you updated with reminders and important information about school and class events.
📚 Reading
Please make sure your child brings their reading book and reading record into school every day. Having these in school daily is really important, as there will be opportunities for children to read with adults throughout the week.
Regular reading at home makes a huge difference, so please continue to listen to your child read and talk to them about what they have read.
✏️ Spellings
Spellings will be sent home half-termly, giving you all of the words your child will be learning during that half term. A copy will also be uploaded to Class Dojo so that it can be easily accessed at home.
We will spend time practising and learning spellings in school, but please also support your child in practising their weekly words at home.
🏃 PE
PE lessons will take place every Thursday. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing the correct school PE kit.
PE is an important part of our curriculum and gives the children opportunities to develop their skills, work as a team and learn how exercise helps us to stay healthy and active.
⭐ We’re looking forward to a fantastic year!
We are really looking forward to working with you and your children this year and seeing all that they achieve in Year 4.
