Welcome to Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School. We hope you find our website both informative and a reflection of the values and ethos of the school. We are very proud of our school, our pupils and all they bring to the wider community.
As a Catholic school, we strive towards providing a curriculum and learning environment that ensures every child makes the most of their talents given to them by God. We strive to create an environment where every member of our community feels safe, loved, valued and respected. This is underpinned by our mission statement which puts Christ at the centre of all we do. We have high expectations for every child and believe strongly that the unique achievements and contribution of every child should be celebrated and valued.
Mater Ecclesiae Catholic Trust
Mater Ecclesiae is one of three Catholic Multi Academy Trusts (CMATs) formed by the Diocese of Lancaster to protect, preserve, nourish and enhance the Catholic religion through the establishment, maintenance and development of Catholic schools.
Mater Ecclesiae was formed in 2022 and currently consists of seven Catholic primary schools and one Catholic secondary school. In geographical terms, the Trust extends across Preston and rural Preston and all are within the local authority area of Lancashire. We currently have 287 staff and educate over 2,200 children and young people in our care. Our head office is located in Fulwood, Preston.

My Happy Mind
We are proud to announce that we are a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school!
This means that as a school we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole school culture that helps build our children's resilience, confidence and self esteem as well as teaching them how to self regulate in those stressful times.
This Accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, governors and parents have put in to bring the lessons of myHappymind to life all around our school!
